Christmas light takedown & storage.
January cleanup is included in every installation. No ladders. No tangled boxes in the attic. We come, we take it all down, we store it until next year. You enjoy a fresh January.
If we installed your lights, takedown is already included in your package โ we'll be in touch in early January to schedule pickup.
Need takedown for lights someone else installed? Or did your installer disappear after the season? We do takedown-only service across DFW. Just call (469) 970-2715.
When does takedown happen?
Most takedowns happen in the first two weeks of January. We work in geographic batches โ if you're in Plano, we'll likely do all our Plano homes the same few days. We'll text you a date and a window.
You don't need to be home. We arrive in branded trucks with red-shirted crews. We carefully remove every strand, wreath, bow, and clip. We test everything as we go โ anything that's failed gets tagged for replacement before next season.
Where do the lights go after takedown?
Back to our facility. Every customer's display is labeled, organized, and stored year-round at no extra charge. When next season rolls around, your exact strands and decorations come back to your home. No new measurements, no design re-work, no surprises.
Professional takedown and storage done right.
Professional Christmas light takedown is included free with every installation we do โ but we also offer takedown as a standalone service for homeowners who installed their own lights (or had someone else install them) and need professional removal. We come, we remove everything cleanly, and we store or dispose of materials properly.

Yes. We'll professionally remove any Christmas lights โ even if a competitor installed them or you installed them yourself.

Professional Christmas light takedown service
Professional Christmas light takedown is included free with every installation we do โ but we also offer takedown as a standalone service for homeowners who installed their own lights, had someone else install them, or whose previous installer disappeared. We come, we remove everything cleanly, and we store or dispose of materials properly. Takedown is more important than most homeowners realize โ improper takedown can damage roofs, lights, and trees.
Why professional takedown matters
Improper takedown causes more damage than improper installation in many cases. Frozen lights that get yanked off in cold January weather crack at sockets. Strands left out too long after Christmas degrade in continued UV exposure. Lights left on trees through spring can damage emerging buds and growth. Hardware left attached year-round corrodes and damages roofs. Professional takedown removes everything in a timely January window using proper warming and removal techniques. The lights stay in better condition. The home stays undamaged. The trees stay healthy.
Our takedown service tiers

We'll handle the takedown professionally. We treat your property carefully and clean up thoroughly. DIY light takedown โ If you installed your own lights but need help getting them down (especially from second-story heights, tall trees, or hard-to-reach areas), we can handle the removal for you. Storage service โ If you want us to store your lights (rather than discard them or have you store them yourself), we offer secure storage at our facility year-round.
When we schedule takedowns
Most takedowns happen January 2nd through mid-January. Some clients prefer takedown after January 6th (Epiphany/Three Kings Day) to extend the holiday season. We work around your preferences. Returning customers automatically get takedown scheduled โ no separate booking needed. Third-party takedown customers should call early in December to schedule January dates before our calendar fills.
How takedown works for our installation customers
If you're one of our installation customers, takedown is fully automatic โ you don't even need to be home. Our crew arrives at the scheduled time, briefly verifies the scope, and gets to work. We unclip every C9 LED strand, unwrap every tree, remove every wreath, and pack things carefully into labeled bins. Everything goes to our climate-controlled storage facility ready for next season. Property is left cleaner than we found it. Trash and packaging is removed. Most takedowns complete in 2-4 hours for typical residential properties.
Takedown pricing for non-installation customers
Standalone takedown service typically runs $250-$600 depending on home size and scope (rooflines only vs. rooflines + tree wrapping + garland + wreaths). Standard 2,000-3,000 sq ft homes with roofline only: $250-$400. Larger homes with multiple buildings and tree work: $400-$600. Estate-scale takedown (multi-acre, multiple buildings): $600-$1,200+. Takedown is FREE when included with our full installation service โ that's part of our turnkey package.
What we do with the removed lights
For our installation customers, all removed lights go to our climate-controlled storage facility for year-round storage. Strands are labeled, organized by property, and ready to bring back next season. We replace any bulbs that failed during the season at our cost (lifetime warranty). For third-party customers, we offer two options: discard everything (we handle disposal properly) or store your personal lights at our facility for $150-$300/year depending on volume. Most third-party customers choose disposal and book full installation with us the following season.
