Most companies charge you full price every single year. We don't. Your first season covers your custom, commercial-grade lights — and you own them. Every year after, you pay a lower flat price for just the install, because the lights are already yours.

Store with us — it's free, and it's the smart move.

When the season ends, we take everything down and store your lights in our climate-controlled warehouse — at no charge. No tangled boxes in your garage, no attic clutter, nothing to lose. As long as we store your lights, they stay under warranty — we replace bulbs and clips as needed and have them ready to go every November. Lose your own lights and you're buying them again; store with us and you never do. It's hassle-free for you, and it lets our crew move faster every season.

Common questions.

C9 bulbs are the larger 'classic' Christmas light style — about 1.25 inches tall by 1 inch in diameter. From the curb (typically 30-50 feet away from a roofline), C9 bulbs are clearly visible as individual points of light. Mini lights, by comparison, blur into a fuzzy line at that distance.

LED versions of C9 bulbs are bright, energy-efficient, durable, and provide consistent color quality bulb-to-bulb.

Compared to old incandescent C9s (which we don't install anymore), LED C9s use 90% less electricity, run cool to the touch, last 15,000-50,000+ hours, and don't have the failure cascade where one dead bulb takes out the whole strand.

The 'commercial-grade' distinction matters significantly.

Big-box-store residential C9 LEDs have thin plastic shells, lower-grade wire, and weaker waterproof seals — they typically last 2-3 seasons before bulbs start failing or wire jackets crack. The commercial-grade C9 LEDs we install have polycarbonate shells (shatter-resistant), sealed O-ring gaskets at every socket, SPT-1 wire rated for outdoor cold and UV, and reinforced strain relief at connections. They last 10-15+ years.

Template installs use pre-made strands of standard lengths (50 ft, 100 ft, etc.) — installers just drape and connect strands until the roofline is covered. The problem: rooflines aren't standard lengths. You end up with bunched extra wire at corners, gaps where strands meet awkwardly, or strands cut down on-site with messy splice joints that fail in weather.

Custom-cut means we measure your home's exact rooflines — every gable, dormer, valley, return, and architectural detail.

Then we custom-cut each strand at our facility to the precise length needed for that specific section of your roof. Strands plug into other strands at planned, weatherproofed junctions — not haphazard splices.

The result: every bulb evenly spaced, every line clean, no bunched corners, no awkward gaps. The lights look like they were designed for your home specifically — because they were.

Main rooflines — Front gables, side gables, back rooflines, eaves. The primary architectural silhouette of your home.

Dormers — Every dormer window gets its own custom-cut C9 LED strand wrapping around the peak and down both sides.

Done right, dormers become individual little Christmas focal points.

Valleys and architectural returns — The roof valleys where two pitches meet, the small architectural returns near entries, the dental molding details — all get custom C9 LED outlining.

Porte-cochères and carriage-style garages — Attached architectural structures get their own roofline treatment. We treat your entire roof system as one unified design.

Bay windows and decorative trim — Bay windows, eyebrow dormers, decorative trim — all the small details that DIY installations skip but luxury homes need.

C9 LEDs come in many color options, and the color choice is one of the most important design decisions for your home's holiday presence.

Warm white (2700K) is the most-requested option in luxury DFW neighborhoods. Mimics traditional incandescent warmth, looks elegant against brick, stone, and stucco, and fits the historic character of Highland Park, University Park, and Preston Hollow homes.

Ultra-warm white (2200K) reaches into amber-gold territory. Beautiful on Tudor revivals, stone facades, and homes with classical or historic architecture.

The 'candlelight' quality feels especially bespoke.

Pure white (5000K) is crisp and modern. Best for contemporary architectural homes, white stucco modern estates, and clean-lined minimalist designs.

Multicolor — Premium multicolor C9 LEDs have deep, saturated colors (ruby red, forest green, royal blue, amber yellow, pure white) rather than the washed-out pastels of cheap multicolor lights. Looks fantastic on brick, family homes, and HOA community installations.

Specialty colors — Red and white only, blue and white only, all-red, all-blue, school colors, holiday-specific themes. We can source any color combination you want.

Our C9 LED installation methodology has been refined over 15+ years of professional work. The process:

1. On-site measurement. A lead installer walks the roof and measures every linear foot of roofline — including the small details DIY installations miss.

2.

Strand planning. We map where each strand will start and end, where male/female plugs will meet, and how power will flow back to the timer. This planning prevents the splice points and dead spots that plague unplanned installs.

3. Custom cut at facility. Strands are cut to exact lengths at our facility. Splices and connections are weatherproofed with heat-shrink seals.

4.

Pre-test before install day. Every strand is plugged in and tested before it goes on the roof. Bulbs that fail QC get swapped before installation.

5. Install with safety. Crew uses extension ladders, safety harnesses, and proper personal protective equipment. All-in-one clips slide gently under shingle edges or hook onto gutter lips — zero penetrations, zero damage.

Power and timer setup. Heavy-duty programmable timer installed and configured (typically dusk-to-dawn or set hours). Backup values pre-set in case of power outage.

7. Test at dusk. Crew waits for dusk to verify the full display lights properly and walks the property looking for missed sections or imperfections.

C9 LED roofline pricing typically runs $1.50-$3.50 per linear foot of roof edge. The variation depends on home size, architectural complexity, height/access difficulty, and design specifics.

• Mid-size luxury home (180-300 linear feet, 2-3 dormers): $700 to $2,500+
